As you are aware, all NAHU members are encouraged to contribute to HUPAC and/or OKHUPAC.

While Oklahoma has approximately 400 members, did you know only 21 members contribute OKHUPAC?

This means we have 379 licensed agents that do not understand Political Action Committees (PAC)!

PAC dollars are given to legislators and/or candidates running for office for the sole purpose of building a rapport. This rapport comes in handy when the legislators are voting on a specific bill and we want them to vote our way. We will meet with them and give our view point and hopefully they will be smart like us, agree with us, then vote accordingly.

If you think it feels like “buying a vote”, well we agree. But, like it or not, that is the way politics works! We need money in our bank in order to build rapport with the legislators.

The OKHUPAC board just approved the following contributions, at the recommendation of our State Lobbyists, Brett Robinson and Lesa Smaligo:

If one of these legislators is in your district, we strongly encourage you to call them and let them know what you do for a living and that you are associated with OKHUPAC. It is likely to bridge a new relationship!

Operation Shout

Did you know anyone can use Operation Shout? That's right, even your clients can use Operation Shout. When there's important legislation about to be voted on, our legislators need to hear from everyone, not just NAHU/TAHU members!

Through our national association, a program has been developed to allow you to interact by email with your local, state or federal legislators. Operation Shout gives you all the necessary information to communicate with your legislators. It will look up your legislators by your home zip code and gives you sample letters to use for many issues. You can create your own letter as well. One click of the mouse and you have access to get your thoughts and opinions on current legislative issues to those in office.

Operation Shout is also set up to notify NAHU/TAHU members when there is an issue up for voting that requires attention. Be informed, share your thoughts and take advantage of this simple-to-use tool!
